Are our departed loved ones around us all the time?
No, not really. Many people seem to think that people in the spirit world spend all their time keeping an eye on, or even ‘spying on’, those on the Earth dimension. I personally do not for one moment think that our departed loved ones (or, for that matter, complete strangers in the spirit world) can simply ‘spy’ on us whenever they like.
That is not to say, when we are thinking of departed loved ones, visiting their graves, looking at their photo, that we cannot make some sort of link with them. But having them near us permanently is quite a different matter, which I do not think happens.
When someone who we have been very close to dies, it is a very sad event, and initially, nothing can take that raw sense of loss away. But with time, our responsibility is to adjust, and to let go of the past, so that we can more fully live in the present.

Just being on the spirit dimension does not necessarily mean that you can see all time scales on the Earth dimension, so departed loved ones can not necessarily see our futures. Also, given that we are here to learn, it is not the job of departed loved ones, even if they could, to help us avoid all future problems or make hard decisions for us.
