Is the future ‘set’ or can it be changed?
Another good question! My own belief is that the really major events in our lives (when we are born and when we die, our major relationships, when we have children, key turning points, etc.) are pre-planned, but BY OURSELVES before we incarnate, in order to allow us to learn what we are coming back to experience. These key events (probably no more than about 10 to 12 in total) are like mountain peaks which we have to travel between, moving from one to the other. While the peak itself is immovable, HOW we travel from peak to peak, how long we take, and if we even ever get past the first one or two, is entirely up to us, and open to change at every step. So while key events may be ‘set’, I firmly believe that the vast majority of our lives is completely left up to us - which means, if we don’t like it, we easily have the power to change it.
Why don’t psychics win the lottery or other types of prizes?
A question every psychic asks themselves continually! Actually, the general consensus opinion is that there is a sort of Universal ‘limiter’ on psychic ability. Gifted psychics are really given their abilities in order to help others, rather than themselves. While many psychics make a basic living from their work, they are NOT allowed to just win huge amounts of money and retire. This would give the psychic no more work to do and no more challenges, and would mean that all those people who wish to get help by having a psychic reading would have nowhere to go.
Are animals psychic?
Yes, I think that many of them are. By this, I mean that many animals can probably sense this ‘other dimension’ that we will find ourselves in when our bodies have ‘died’. Also, animals seem to be able to sense things in a way that science cannot currently explain. It is commonly held that cats, dogs and horses are particularly psychic in this sense. Cats will often stare intently at a point in space, and then gradually seem to follow ‘something’ across a room. Dogs are well known to be able to sense when their owners are on their way home, long before they could possibly hear them or sense them in any conventional way, and before any other humans could know they are near. Cats and dogs often seem to sense what their owners are thinking, without their owners giving any outward signs - have you ever been sitting reading a newspaper, and then thinking to yourself: “I might just take the dog for a walk”, to then suddenly find the dog appears in front of you, excited and wagging his tail?
Are you glad you are psychic?
Mainly ‘yes’, but this gift is very much a ‘double-edged sword’. It is a wonderful thing to be able to spend your working life helping people with difficult life issues, and to help them understand that human beings are more than just ‘chemical machines living meaningless lives’. Being sensitive is a 24/7 ability however, and it is vital to learn how to ‘switch off’ in order to be able to cope with normal life. I have terrible trouble sleeping in Hotels, because I ‘pick up’ on all the people who have slept in the room before me. I can sense the emotions, the arguments, the upsets, the worries - when all I really want is a good nights sleep. I went to stay with a friend of mine who has retired to the island of Majorca, and the first night I was there I got very little sleep because a Nun who was native to the island and who had lived there about 200 years before was insistent on telling me all about the island and its history. It was fascinating, but very tiring!
Do you see ghosts all the time?
Thankfully, no, because I usually have to ‘tune-in’ in order to see a ghost, and most of the time I am not deliberately tuning-in. When I am investigating a haunting, then obviously I try to get on the right ‘wavelength’, and if there is any spirit there, I will usually be able to sense them. I do often get surprised though, in that I will see a spirit when I am not expecting to, especially when I am half asleep in bed, either just waking up or just dozing off. They seem to be more able to just appear to me at those times, although I often can’t get any specific reasons from them for their visit, they just seem to want to ‘chat’ for a short while.
What is ‘psychometry’?
Psychometry is the art of holding or touching an object and ‘reading’ information from it by psychic means - that is, by a way not currently recognised by science. I am able to pick up things that the item or object has ‘witnessed’ during its existence, particularly the emotions and experiences of those people who have been closely associated with it. If you are bringing an item such as a piece of jewellery, an item of clothing or some other personal item belonging to a friend or relative, when you come to me for a Reading, then it is important that: (1) the item has been worn or owned by only one person (otherwise it will have many stories to tell, and I may not be able to tell which is which); (2) it should have been used or worn by that person recently (if it has sat in a drawer for 30 years, it is likely to be ‘flat’ in energy terms); and (3) it should have been used or worn by the person concerned regularly (if it was a Christmas present they used once and then forgot, it will have little of their ‘vibes’ on it).
Items I have been given items to psychometrise, by individuals and on TV shows, have included: a 2000 year old Egyptian cat’s skull; ‘dog-tags’ from a world war two pilot; a piece of the Berlin wall; a ‘hag-stone’ used to ward off illness from horses; a Tahitian ‘death-doll’; a piece of hair from a well known celebrity; and a 200 year old dress worn by a famous lady.
